Jamie Paris is an M.A. candidate in English at the University of Regina (Canada), where he is presently completing a thesis entitled 'Kipling and Custodial Masculinity.' His doctoral work will explore fatherhood in the 19th century novel.

Susan Johnston

Susan Johnston is Associate Professor in the English Department of the University of Regina (Canada). She is the author of Women and Domestic Experience in Victorian Political Fiction (Greenwood, 2001); her current project is on masculinity and the idea of the soldier in Kipling and military science fiction.
