Stephanie Dutchen is a web developer and medical copywriter at a private website company in New York. She earned degrees in English and Journalism from Boston University, where she fell in love with popular culture scholarship and wrote a thesis on Lord Byron's influence on the literary vampire from Carmilla to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has been a full-time Harry Potter fan since reading the books in 2003 and presented a paper at Convention Alley on Severus Snape as a Byronic hero. She can usually be found in a quiet corner with a book, but also enjoys Irish dance, looking up obscure medical trivia and spoiling Lego-Snape with opulent plastic dungeons.
