Gili Bar-Hillel

Gili Bar-Hillel was editor of children's books for an Israeli publishing house, worked for a major Israeli newspaper, directed some plays, produced radio programs for IDF radio and did several other things with her life before translating the "Harry Potter" books into Hebrew, but nobody really cares about that since Harry came along. Additional books she has translated were written by Jacqueline Wilson and by Diana Wynne Jones, and her most recent project was an annotated edition of "The Wizard of Oz" for Hebrew readers. She was educated at Harvard, Tel-Aviv University and the Hebrew University, and she lives in Tel-Aviv with her husband and two children (both born in the interim between "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire").
